Here, we introduce you to the faces behind some of your favourite Stockland retailers. Learn about the history of their business, the products and services they offer and what they love about their local community. 

Meet Linda, Bevilles Jewellery 

1. Tell us about your store?

Bevilles Jewellery is located on Level 1 in Stockland Green Hills. We are one of 24 Bevilles stores across Australia and the first store established in the Hunter Newcastle region. Proudly a family owned Australian business, led by 3 generations of the Beville family since 1934. We strive to provide a fabulous experience for our customers and to spoil them with beautiful jewellery.

 

2. What products, services or experiences do you offer?

At Bevilles Jewellery we offer a beautiful range of Jewellery whether it be a sparkly certified diamond, to a beautiful gold or classic silver piece of jewellery we have something for everyone. We also have a large range of your favourite watches.

 

3. What do you love about your store?

The Energy! When you visit our store the team are always ready to help, we love getting to know our customers in a fun, relaxed environment. You will generally find us with our music on, laughing and chatting with our customers. You will also often hear the ringing of our bells or see us taking photos with our customers and team, this is our little way of celebrating and acknowledging all the successes and achievements both big and small of both our team and our beautiful customers. In addition, when our customers shop with us at Bevilles they earn Eternity Club points which accumulate to equal complimentary store credit so our customers can keep spoiling themselves, and feeling fabulous.

 

4. What drives you and the team (where relevant) to success?

The Team at Bevilles Green Hills love to see our customers leave our store feeling fabulous. That moment when a customer finds their dream piece, and can take it home – there is no price you can put on the feeling and energy you get from knowing your customer is feeling fabulous! We also love when our customers come back with photos and stories to share with us their special moments.

 

5. What did you wish customers know before they visited your store?

We are a well-established Jewellery company, and although new to the Hunter Newcastle region have been spoiling our customers for over 85 years.

 

6. Why do you think shopping centres are important?

Whilst online shopping has its conveniences nothing beats the tactile experience of touching, trying on and seeing a product in person. Whilst most marketing teams invest a lot of energy into catalogues and online images nothing beats the rush of emotion and excitement of trying on your favourite ring, necklace or watch in store, and seeing how fabulous it looks on you! Plus, our team love to be helpful and nothing beats the “old fashion good customer service.”

 

7. What is your current role and main responsibilities?

My role here at Bevilles Green Hills is as the Store Manager, I am responsible for the day to day running of the store, the execution of promotional set ups, ensuring my team are competent and confident in product knowledge and serving our customers. Most importantly though my role is about ensuring everyone is having a fabulous time while in our store.

 

8. What do you love most about your job?

I love my team, they are like a second family! Plus who doesn’t love being surrounded by beautiful sparkly jewellery day in and day out? I also love sharing in the heart felt interactions with our customers, being a part of helping them find the perfect engagement ring or wedding bands, hearing about how the proposal happened and their future wedding plans. I am grateful that not only myself but my team are privileged enough to celebrate special occasions in our customers lives from birthdays, graduations, weddings, births and simply spoiling themselves just because they are fabulous and deserve to feel good.

 

9. What is your most memorable moment in your store?

We have had many memorable moments in our store with our amazing customers and are so privileged to be able to witness a couple of proposals in store since we opened at Green Hills. We’ve shared moments of laughter and happy tears with our customers to the point some customers and our team have needed to sit down because all the excitement and emotion in the moment has been too much to handle. Love, laughter and smiling is contagious and we thrive on the positive experiences and exciting new chapters of our customers lives.

11. How have you coped with COVID-19 and what are you looking forward to?

There is no doubt everyone has been affected in one way or another with the Covid-19 pandemic. Our store did close for a few weeks as Bevilles worked behind the scenes to implement processes and procedures to ensure the safety and minimise the risk to not only our team but our customers. We are so excited to be back to some “normalcy” now and are able to be open every day, to be able to help our customers feel fabulous again and spoil them or someone in their lives with something fabulous. I know I also definitely was missing spending my days talking to people, my partner was lucky he is an “essential” worker and still had to go to work as I think I would of chatted his ear off otherwise.
