Description

Join us at Stockland Harrisdale for 'Wellness Wednesday' on the 1st of August. 

We have a variety of FREE health and well being workshops and activities that everyone can get involved in.


Workshops include:

9.30am - 10.15am   Move Well Exercise Class for Adults  (by Jetts Fitness Harrisdale)

This class will be combining the best of pilates, yoga and balance training into one effective full body workout session. 

 

11.30am - 12.30pm   Living Lighter Workshop  (by the City of Armadale)

Live Lighter will be providing you with recipes and tools on how to develop healthy eating habits, especially in a busy household. 


12.30pm - 1.30pm   Presentation by Dr Molapo Selepe and Exercise Physiologist, Louie Tan  (by Harrisdale Medical Centre)

Dr Molapo Selepe will be presenting on Metabolic Syndrome which is a collection of disorders that occur together and increase your risk of developing type 2 diabetes or cardiovascular disease (stroke or heart disease).

Louie Tan will be presenting on the the benefits of an active lifestyle and exercise as a medicine for diabetes and chronic pain/ disease. 

 

1.30pm - 2.30pm   Understanding Grocery Labels  (by the City of Armadale)

Do you get confused when you read the labels on grocery items? This workshop will go through what are the healthy choices in the shops and how you can find if there is any hidden nasties. 


2.30pm - 4.00pm   Chiropractic screenings and information  (Dr Dan Wise, Harrisdale Chiropractic)

 

No bookings required, just show up on the day.

Ayla Inc - Not for profit organisation that focuses on emergency relief, mental health and sustainability. 

WA Primary Health Alliance (WAPHA) - WAPHA’s primary objective is to improve health outcomes and patient experiences through the commissioning of appropriate services where they are most needed.
