Fun eats and entertainment ideas for Mothers Day

When you look back on Mother’s Days past, more often than not, it’s the ones where you spent time with mum chatting about everything and nothing over brunch or catching a great movie together, that stand out the most. And you can bet they’re some of mum’s favourite memories, too.

So, with this in mind, take the time to plan a ‘day of mum’ at your local Stockland Hervey Bay for Mother’s Day 2021 and collect some more memories. There are so many delicious dining options, in-centre entertainment ideas, and events all in the one convenient place – there really is something for everyone to enjoy.

Enjoy a delicious brunch

Don’t underestimate the power of a great coffee and brunch to kick off the Mother’s Day celebrations. It’s a simple gesture to be sure, but there’s something about wrapping your hands around a warm cuppa from during the cooler months and chatting to mum about her week, that can create memories she’ll talk about for years to come. Our favourite places for a special Mother’s Day catch-up are Muffin Break, Jamaica Blue and Good Place Espresso.

Or, if you want to really make the most of your time with mum, while you’re sipping your coffee from Good Place Espresso, why not put together a list of all the things you never thought to ask about her childhood? Some questions could be: what was your first car? Who was your favourite teacher growing up and why? What’s your all-time favourite song and what does it remind you of? What would you do every weekend as a teenager? Sometimes as we grow older, we forget that our mum is growing older too. So, it’s a lovely idea to cast her mind back – not to mention you’ll probably have a few laughs over the stories!

Entertainment ideas

After enjoying some tasty eats to start the day, why not get creative this Mother’s Day and book in a few activities – like bringing out each other’s competitive sides at Timezone. It may be her day, but that’s not to say you need to let her win! Alternatively, some mums would consider retailer therapy an activity in itself and with the latest ranges of new-season fashion dropping every week, there’s no better time for a wardrobe audit. Perhaps you could be mum’s pseudo stylist for the day and pick an outfit together! Another great idea for the mums who deserve some R&R is to visit the friendly team at Serenity Skin Spa for a spa pedicure. And let’s be honest, what mum doesn’t deserve to be pampered.
