Join us on Saturday 14 July to celebrate NAIDOC Week.
NAIDOC Week 2018 will be held on Sunday 8 July to Sunday 15 July and celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
This year’s theme is “Because of Her, We Can!” and celebrates the role that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women have played and continue to play as active and significant role models at the community, local, state and national levels.
We are excited to have the Freeman Dancers perform a traditional ceremony and music/dance performance. Local Aboriginal elder, Aunty Cleonie Quayle, will also join us for a cultural speech after the performance.
Date: Saturday 14 July 2018
• Smoking Ceremony - Centre entrance near Universal Burger, Oliver Brown & The Coffee Emporium
• Music/dance performance & cultural speech – Opposite of Sushi Bay
Time: 11am – 12pm
