NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life. The week is a great opportunity to participate in a range of activities and to support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. Stockland is proud to launch their 2017 Innovate RAP this NAIDOC week.

Community Grants

Stockland Tooronga is proud to announce the local recipients of our 2017 Community Grants program. Over $300,000 was awarded across Australia to groups and projects that support local activities and services aimed at building a stronger community. Volunteer Award at St Kevin's

Stockland is a proud sponsor of the St Kevin's Old Boys Football Club. The winner of the Stockland volunteer award this week is Dr Kim Whelan. After an 80 hour work week at Monash Medical Centre where Kim heads up the Emergency Department – Kim was straight to SKOB on Saturday volunteering. Not only was Kim available to assist with sporting injuries of the players all day but he was "the last man standing" on Saturday night after assisting with the clean up after a huge day at TH King. SKOB FC appreciates Kim's assistance and expertise.

Each year, National Reconciliation Week celebrates and builds on the respectful relationships shared by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians in the journey towards reconciliation. This year we celebrate significant anniversaries of two notable events; 27 May, the day the historic 1967 Referendum was carried, and 3 June, when the High Court delivered its landmark judgement in the Mabo case in 1992.
