Stockland is excited to wrap up the ‘Art of Wrap’ design competition with the announcement of our 2016 Art of Wrap Design Competition winners.
During September and October, shoppers across Australia were asked to design and submit entries for the 'Art of Wrap' design competition. The winner of the Art of Wrap Design Competition will now have their design commercially printed and featured as the official Stockland’s Christmas wrapping creative for 2016 along with receiving a MacBook Air. Thousands of presents across Stockland shopping centres nationally will be wrapped and bowed with the winners unique design this festive season.
Almost 400 entries were reviewed and judged and we are now pleased to announce the winner, runners up, People’s Choice Award Winner, and People’s Choice Runners up. The judging was very difficult with so many amazing entries, we loved looking at your work and commend all entrants on great designs that showcased more than just their artist talent as their interpretations of an Australian Christmas were also clearly evident.
We are excited to announce that during the People’s Choice voting period, we received over 6000 votes and we would like to extend our sincere thanks to all of the designers, artists and amateur designers who submitted entries.
Stockland are delighted to announce Fizah Malik as the winner of Stockland's Art of Wrap design competition. FIzah's design is entitled Fireworks in the night sky.
Fireworks in the night sky is an interpretation of the Australian Christmas as a summer filled season of warmth and fireworks. The image depicts the Australian sky at summertime, it is in juxtaposition to common winter ‘snowflakes’ and ‘snowmen’ images we often see. This image capture the moment when Australian’s come together, are joyful, hopefully, and looking ahead.
