2017 Community Christmas

Event dates

Description

This year Stockland Wetherill Park are sharing some unexpected joy and helping bringing locals together for Christmas by partnering with Fairfield Uniting Church and Starr Partners to support the Annual Fairfield Christmas Trolley Drive.

A number of people in our community do not have a place to celebrate Christmas including those who have no family, are lonely, have no money to celebrate or are currently homeless. This event is organised specifically to bring the community together, for those who may otherwise be unable to celebrate or would be celebrating alone.

Over the past 13 years many schools & businesses in the Fairfield area have made generous
donations of groceries, toys and other items which are used to stock the shelves of the local Uniting Church Diner which feeds over 15,000 underprivileged people in our community annually.

We are inviting the whole community in the Fairfield area this year come along to the ‘Trolley Parade’ and give generously to help collect groceries which will fill one or more shopping trolleys to support the Diner in 2018. The ‘Trolley Parade’ takes place through the main streets of Fairfield
as the community deliver the donations to the Diner on Friday 8 December at 9.00am for a  10.00am march-off. A morning tea will be held following the parade for the community at the Uniting Church.
