1. Tell us about your store?
We are a team that walk and talk sneakers. Holding the most iconic brands and offering the best service! Our aim every day is to create an experience you won't forget, treating every customer like family and ensuring you leave with a smile on your face.
2. What products, services or experiences do you offer?
We offer a range of services and products here at Platypus, from the latest sneakers across all brands such as Adidas to Dr Martens, to the best designed socks with that amazing grip. Let's not forget about our range of Tommy and Platypus gym bags, bum bags and our huge range of hats. We offer amazing, friendly in store service and if we are unable to assist you in store, you can be assured our team will always find a way, such as calling other stores for stock checks or offering to send the shoe straight to your door with no extra charge.
3. Do you have a funny story you would like to share?
Every day at Platypus brings a new experience, so I don't have any one in particular to talk about, so much happens daily! We always share a good laugh between the team and our customers.
4. What do you love about your store?
I love the culture in our store! The energy is always high and pumping. Both our team and our customers are always vibing with the latest music, so it never really feels like you're at work. It's kind of like one big party!
5. What do you love most about your job?
I've been a manager for around 6 years and I can proudly say, this is the most fun I've had. I love the support from our regional, state and national managers, even our other store managers are always there for a helping hand. The part i love the most of being here is teaching and growing my team to become the best they can be and building those relationships and bonds with so many different people.
6. What is your most memorable moment in your store?
My most memorable moment in my store is probably all of our theme days. So fun fact: every couple of weekends the entire company has a theme day of your choice. We've had 90's and Halloween and denim on denim. It's always so much fun getting everyone involved and seeing everyone's photos!
