A cap, tail and shoes can transform your child into the dinosaur of their dreams. And the best part? It’s a whole lot easier than you’d think!

3. Cut triangle shapes in the pink foam to create four spikes of varying sizes.

4. To decorate, cut circles in purple and green foam to create a distinctive dinosaur pattern.

5. Attach teeth under the hat rim, nostrils above the rim, eyes at the front of the cap, spikes down the centre and coloured circles all over.

Note: for the spikes and teeth, try joining two pieces of foam and leave the base unglued, creating flaps for extra stability.

To create the tail:

1. Trace the outline of a tail with a fabric marker on the pink foam and cut out the shape.

2. Trace and cut out smaller sections of the purple and green foam, and glue onto the tail to create spots.

3. Fold a small section of the base of the tail and glue down.

4. Thread the elastic through the hole and tie to secure around the waist.

To create the feet:

1. Wrap each empty tissue box with tissue paper, using sticky tape to secure.

2. Cut 6 triangles out of cardboard and tape to the edge to act as toes.
