Go ahead and make Dad’s day! Father’s Day is just around the corner on Sunday 3rd September.
Father’s Day is a lovely day to step back and reflect on the role that fathers play in the lives of their children. Most importantly, it’s a day to take the stress away from Dad and make it one to remember. After all, all Dad really wants on Father’s Day is to have a day free from any pressure, with no deadlines, hassles, chores or rushing around. Let him relax!
Father’s Day usually starts with a homemade breakfast in bed or a sunny spot outside, closely followed by the excitement of opening presents. So, if you’re stuck for ideas on how to make the day extraordinary, you don’t have to worry. If there’s one thing that’s certain, Dad appreciates the little touches; and a delicious meal, is a great way to start his special day.
If Dad loves a traditional, savoury feast, the classic “Big Breakfast” is always a crowd pleaser. The kids can easily get involved and even take charge over each part of the dish. Use our colourful printables to label each of the items, from the bacon to the bread! Not only will the kids have a ball carefully decorating everything, the end result will be a personal touch that both the kids and Dad will be proud of.
Alternatively, if your Dad loves a healthy start to the day, why not make him a fresh fruit salad? Take the kids to the supermarket and they’ll have a field day choosing his favourite fruits. Back at home, everyone can get involved by peeling, dicing and assembling a range of colourful fruit (under careful supervision of course!). The result will be a bowl of goodness that the whole family can enjoy.
For the ultimate finish, take your favourite printable and write a special message to Dad. Then, attach it to a long skewer and pierce the skewer through the fruit! This one is sure to be a success with Dad and we promise the kids will love them too! Serve your breakfast feast with juice and Dad’s favourite hot drink.
You can also make the space look festive with our special Father’s Day bunting. Simply cut out each letter and string together. The bunting is a lovely touch that can be easily added to the back of Dad’s chair or strung along a nearby wall. By going the extra mile, the space will feel festive and sentimental.
Of course, no day of celebrating Dad is without a special gift made from the heart. Show him that you’ve gone the extra mile by adding a gift tag in Dad’s favourite colours and tell him how much you appreciate him in our specially-designed printable card.
