Add some elegance to your table this Christmas with this beautiful centrepiece. You’ll be amazed at how simple, quick and affordable it is to make!
For this project, you will need the following materials:
- 1 x A3 green card
- 1x A4 red card
- A gold marker
Plus the following from around the home:
- A lead pencil
- A ruler
- Sticky tape or a stapler
Fold the A3 card in half lengthways. With your ruler and pencil, draw a line 5cm in from the non-folded edge. Starting at one end of the line, make a dot with your pencil and ruler every 2cm, all the way to the other side.
From these dots, use your pencil and ruler to draw a line towards the folded edge. Then, carefully use your scissors to cut along each of these up to the 5cm edge.
Now, unfold the card, and fold it around in the opposite direction, then tape or staple the edges that meet to create a cylinder.
Take both taped or stapled ends of the cylinder and wrap them round to meet each other to create the wreath shape. Tape or staple the ends together.
On the red card, use your gold marker to draw a bow, as well as a number of small circles to be holly. Using your scissors carefully cut these out.
Attach the bow to the bottom of your wreath using sticky tape or your stapler, and attach the holly all over the wreath. Now it’s ready to hang!
