Some great ideas from The Organised Housewife to help host the perfect Christmas celebration.
Are you hosting Christmas this year? Below are my top tips and favourite recipes for entertaining - whether you choose to have a picnic in the park or a more formal celebration, this list has you covered!
Outside on the back patio
Depending on where you live you may enjoy the cooler part of the morning having breakfast on the back patio. Use the opportunity to keep your kitchen clean and use the BBQ to cook breakfast. You can cook pancakes on the BBQ or the always scrumptious bacon and eggs with a side of eggnog.
Perhaps where you live it's too hot to entertain outside, but come late afternoon it usually cools down. String some christmas lights along with roofline, this will make a beautiful light display as the sun goes down in the evening giving your outdoor area some festive ambiance. Place some citronella candles around the area your entertaining to keep any mosquito's away.

Inside at the dining table
Have all the family at the dining table, extend it out or connect tables together so that you are sitting collectively enjoying the company of those around you. Put on the air-conditioning, fans or open the windows so you don't get too hot. Adorn your dining table with festive decorations and bon bons, in the evening turn off the lights directly above the entertaining area and place candles on the table so it's not so bright.
