Healthy apple doughnuts

  • Serves: 3 slices per apple
  • Time needed: 10 mins

  • Your kid’s favourite type of apple
  • Your kid’s favourite spreads e.g. strawberry jam, peanut butter, almond butter, cream cheese
  • Decorative toppers e.g. coconut, chocolate chips, cacao nibs, granola, oats


  • Step 1

    Wash and core apple.

  • Step 2

    Slice horizontally into chunky slices (about 1cm thick). 

  • Step 3

    Slather a layer of spread over the apple slice. Top with complementing decorative topper.

    Recommended toppings:

    New York Bagel – cream cheese and strawberry jam

    Iced Vovo – strawberry jam and coconut

    Choco-muesli – nut-free chocolate spread and nut-free granola
