Fruit party balloons

Materials

  • String and ribbon
  • White, red, green and black tissue paper
  • 4 foil balloons in various colours and shapes
  • Spray adhesive glue

Directions

  • Step 1

    Inflate round balloons with helium for the watermelon, kiwifruit, strawberry and dragon fruit

  • Step 2

    For the watermelon; cut out a circle about 20 centimetres wide from the red tissue and spray with adhesive.

    For the kiwifruit; trace the inside of a small bowl onto white tissue paper.

    For the strawberry; cut seed shapes from the black tissue paper and stick onto balloon with spray adhesive glue.

    For the dragon fruit; cut out a circle about 10 centimetres wide from the white tissue paper and spray with adhesive.

  • Step 3

    For the watermelon; stick onto balloon. 

    For the kiwifruit; cut out a circle about 10 centimetres wide from the white tissue paper and spray with adhesive.

    For the strawberry; cut a piece of green tissue paper into a square and fold in quadrants.

    For the dragon fruit; cut seed shapes from the black tissue paper and stick onto the middle of the white circle with spray adhesive glue.

  • Step 4

    For the watermelon; cut seed-like shapes from the black vinyl and stick onto the red tissue paper. 

    For the kiwifruit; stick tissue paper onto balloon.

    For the strawberry; cut small parallel lines along one side of the square.

    For the dragon fruit; tie ribbon onto end of balloon.

  • Step 5

    For the watermelon; tie ribbon onto end of balloon.

    For the kiwifruit; cut seed shapes from the black tissue paper and stick around the edge of the white circle with spray adhesive glue.

    For the strawberry; using spray adhesive glue, stick fringe onto the top of the balloon.

  • Step 6

    For the kiwifruit and strawberry; tie ribbon onto end of balloon.
