Coffee banana smoothie

Check out this healthy coffee and banana smoothie recipe! It’s packed with omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants and vitamins to help you boost your health and energy levels.

  • Time needed: 15 minutes prep, 4 minutes cooking time

Ingredients

  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp grated nutmeg
  • 1 cup chilled brewed coffee
  • 1 cup low fat plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbs of ground flax seed
  • 1½ bananas, cut into chunks
  • 2 tbs of honey
  • 6 ice cubes

Directions

  • Step 1


    Brew 1 cup of coffee and place it in the fridge to cool

  • Step 2


    Once the coffee is chilled, place all the ingredients into a heavy duty blender (one that can crush ice).

  • Step 3


    Blend until smooth, transfer into glasses, garnish with coffee beans (optional) and serve.
