Our second Superfood of the Month is one you might not realise is a superfood, but nuts are living proof that good things really do come in small packages. These bite-size nutritional powerhouses are not only packed with healthy fats, proteins and vitamins, but some have also been linked to lower cholesterol levels, better heart health, weight control and even lowering your cancer risk!
Of course, nuts are also high in calories, so it’s best to only have a few at a time. Plus, there are so many different nuts to choose from, each with different health benefits, which makes it hard to work out which ones to pick! Our advice? Use them in one of these healthy and delicious recipes, and go nuts!
