Combine the banana, pomegranate seeds, mandarins, yoghurt, 600 ml milk, pomegranate juice, and honey in a blender.
Blend on high until smooth. Add the crushed ice and blend again until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed. Divide between glasses.
Pour the remaining milk into a microwaveable glass or jar, and cover with a lid. Shake vigorously for 30-40 seconds until doubled in volume.
Remove the lid and microwave on high for about 30 seconds to stabilise the foam.
Spoon the foam on top of the smoothie before serving.
