From the playgrounds and parklands where children, adults and furry friends exercise and play, to the kilometres of bike and walking paths, schools at all levels, or the many cafes where young and old gather, it’s the place to make connections that last a lifetime.

In an increasingly isolated world, being part of a community is more important than ever. It gives us a sense of belonging, builds our self-esteem and lowers the risk of anxiety and depression. Research suggests it may even help us live happier, healthier, longer lives.

Stockland Aura is built around residents feeling connected and supported. It’s somewhere to believe in the power of community, a friendly neighbour, and a shared passion for Nature and outdoor activity.

From the playgrounds and parklands where children, adults and furry friends exercise and play, to the kilometres of bike and walking paths, schools at all levels, or the many cafes where young and old gather, it’s the place to make connections that last a lifetime.

Here are five reasons why belonging to Queensland’s fastest growing community, on the southern end of the beautiful Sunshine Coast, is right for you.

1. Family fun and support

At Stockland Aura, it’s easy to make friends because we organise community events that bring like-minded people together and build relationships.
Browse our outdoor market with unique food vendors, artisan stalls, children’s entertainment, live musicians and a bar stocking local craft beers and wine.
Grab the family and view one of your favourite movies at our outdoor cinema in the warmer months, or join in family fun like our Halloween Street Party for an unforgettable night of tricks and treats.
From mural painting, to free dog training sessions and outdoor fitness events, there’s always something on the calendar to keep everyone entertained.
Stockland Aura is also home to gyms, cafes, and a tavern, where you can work out, grab a latte, or a cold drink, in the company of old or new friends.
In the future, we’re adding other facilities that support residents, including a major city centre and urban parkland with aquatic amenities.

2. Neighbours you know

When life is fast-paced and times are changing, it’s easy to feel disconnected. But living in our community means having neighbours with shared values who are part of something that is bigger than themselves.
We know that people who live at Stockland Aura value a friendly, sustainable, family-orientated environment and we design our communities around what’s important.
In our annual Liveability Index Survey, which invites feedback on all aspects of the built and natural environment as well as how its design supports mental and physical wellbeing,  81% of people said they felt proud about the community they live in.
You could say it’s the vibe that makes Stockland Aura a wonderful place to buy or build your new home.

3. Quality of life

We’ve already created 13 state-of-the-art parks and playgrounds, including a skate plaza, dog parks and sports fields, where children and adults can gather together to relax, chat and play.
An amazing 93% of our residents named these, as well as our natural environment, as one of their favourite community features. Another 87% feel healthier and fitter since moving in!
Future plans include four large recreation parks, five district sports parks and two major sports parks, including a proposed sports stadium, all designed to help you enjoy the benefits of a healthy, active lifestyle and being with others.
Stockland Aura is also only a short drive to the beautiful beaches of Caloundra, for ocean swims, or family picnics and fun days.

4. Opportunities to grow

With up to 20 education and learning centres proposed for this growing city, from early learning centres all the way to an urban university, Stockland Aura is set to become a centre of educational excellence.
The first of these schools, a revolutionary new science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) focused state primary school, is now open in Baringa, while Aura’s first state high school – Baringa State Secondary College – opened in January 2021.
But our community isn’t only about access to the best, formal learning opportunities.
It’s about living in a place that brings people and families together, on their best journey in life, to help them share and grow.

5. A village atmosphere where you can flourish

With more than 65 years’ experience in creating communities, Stockland continues to help enrich thousands of young and established families’ lives.
We do this by creating a village atmosphere that goes beyond bricks and mortar, with designs that encompass the beauty of the surrounding environment and neighbourhoods where people thrive because they feel a sense of togetherness.
There’s never a reason to feel isolated or lonely, with so many opportunities on your doorstep to have fun or make friends.
Researchers say this type of social connection is even more important to your health than losing weight, quitting smoking, or having low blood pressure, and can strengthen your immune system and mental health.
When you join our community, you’re putting the wellbeing of you and your family, now and in the future, first.
