We’ve had our eyes on the Foreshore Coomera community since October 2016, so we’re really excited.

Being close to the city while also enjoying a waterfront location was a key drawcard for Laura and Michael Byrnes when making the decision to purchase their new home at Foreshore Coomera.

“Foreshore Coomera is great because it’s a place where we don’t have to get in the car because everything is nearby,” Laura said.

“We’re also close to theme parks and aren’t far from the beach.

“We’ve been on the Gold Coast since 2003 and we love the location of Coomera. We’ve had our eyes on the Foreshore Coomera community since October 2016, so we’re really excited.”

And they’re here to stay, with Laura confirming: “We will not be moving for 15 to 20 years.”

The young family will be settling into a four-bedroom home with their four-year-old son Sebastian and are looking forward to having extra features like a pool, alfresco area, media room and two bathrooms.

“This is an upgrade for us. We had an investment property which we rented so we could move around and figure out where we wanted to be,” Laura said.

“Coomera is where it’s at. It’s close to Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast and there’s just so much being planned for the area - it’s going to boom.”

As a family that likes to get out and about, the Byrnes’ are creating their new home around the corner from a park, with the river also close by.

They are already planning outings like canoeing over to the Coomera marina for breakfast.

The couple are hoping to be settled into their new home by Christmas and already have the invitations ready for their family to visit.

“Our fingers and toes are crossed that we will be able to host Christmas this year,” Laura said.

“We’re very excited.”
