The newly opened Baringa town centre will soon be home to the monthly Baringa Twilight Markets thanks to a collaboration between Stockland and the Caloundra Chamber of Commerce.

Launching on Friday, 11 October between 4pm and 8pm, this market will provide a great opportunity for the scores of young families residing in the Aura Development to socialise locally with their friends, families and neighbours.

Including over 20 unique food vendors, a number of artisan stalls, stacks of children’s entertainment, live musicians and a bar stocking local craft beers and wine this family orientated market is set to become a local favourite in the fast-growing suburb.

Coinciding with the recent opening of the Baringa Town Centre, Caloundra Chamber of Commerce President Michael Shadforth says that the area is a perfect fit for a community and family focused market.

“The Baringa Twilight market will soon become a family favourite for the huge amount of young families in the area looking for affordable, local entertainment where they can socialise and enjoy themselves without leaving the neighbourhood,” Michael Shadforth says.

“Markets truly do become the heart of a community and we are working hard to match this market to the values and character of Baringa by emphasizing children’s entertainment, great food and a bar for the parents.”

In celebration of the Baringa Twilight Market Launch event Stockland will be sponsoring the special outdoor screening of Jumanji and roving characters throughout the afternoon.

The Caloundra Chamber of Commerce are also providing spaces for a small fee to local business owners to either promote or sell their products in order to boost awareness of the Baringa business community.

Featuring plenty of green space, the newly created market will be completely dog friendly with all locals being urged to bring their four-legged friends along too.

Environmental sustainability is also a focus of the Baringa Twilight Market as the event organisers have incorporated a plastic straw ban, are utilising bio-degradable cups and urge locals to walk, ride or skate.

The event will be located on Edward Terrace at the Baringa Community Centre and following the launch on Friday October 11 will be run every second Friday of the month.
