Glendale Markets Community Mural

Are you an experienced local mural artist who can capture the essence of the Hunter – Newcastle region? The onsite mural installation will need to span across two 40” (foot) shipping containers, and artists are encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest.

The intention of the mural is to add colour, vibrancy and to celebrate local fresh produce supporting the regional landscape, Farmers and Artisans. Submissions are due Monday 14 March, more information can be found in the Expressions of Interest pack here.

Project overview

Stockland is looking for creative and innovative design, new ideas and sustainable practice that captures the regions’ landscape, culture whilst celebrating local fresh produce and farmers.

The mural must withstand the outdoor climatic elements, be non-toxic, UV resilient and span across two 40” (foot) shipping containers

Artists must be: 

  • Australian residents

  • 18 years of age or over, and

  • Experienced in delivering art murals

Artists may submit an EOI either as an individual or part of a team. Both murals could be a single piece or multi-piece artwork, using the artist’s chosen medium or painting or other suitable materials.

All submissions should include the following information:

  • Written or oral description of artistic concept (maximum 250 words)

  • Portfolio images of recent artwork, and

  • CV and past relevant experience
