Meet Connie, Connie Anne
1. Tell us about your store?
Connie Anne is an independent women's fashion boutique established in June 2016. With my Bachelor Degree of Design in Fashion and Textiles, I personally select garments and accessories from a wide range of independent Australian and International fashion brands, presenting customers with a bespoke wardrobe collection.
2. What products, services or experiences do you offer?
With a fashion forward approach, Connie Anne caters for all ages and all occasions, offering unique apparel including staple wear, casual wear, work attire, as well as formal wear. Connie Anne ensures that the latest styles and fashion trends are continuously available, receiving new arrival clothing and accessory items on a weekly basis.
3. What feedback do you get from your customers?
Customers continually commend my staff and I on the amazing one-on-one personalised shopping experience they receive in-store. Compliments are made on the incredible customer service provided, along with the wide range of unique, well priced garments and accessories available in store.
4. What drives you and the team to success?
The Connie Anne team have a passion for putting outfits together that meet our customer’s visions. We always want our customers to feel confident, inspired and on-trend. Constantly being exposed to new and unique products in store excites us to share this with our customers, ensuring they will stand out from the crowd and differ from those who shop at common chain stores.
5. What is your current role and main responsibilities?
As the founder and current owner of Connie Anne, my role is quite broad and extensive behind the scenes, while also ensuring I am still customer facing. I source new independent labels to ensure customers continue to have access to the latest fashion trends. I carefully select new garments and accessories on a weekly basis to ensure the store looks fresh and enticing, and I work on the shop floor at least 5 days a week so that I can continue to build valued relationships with customers and provide personalised styling services. I also take full responsibility for the shop layout including mannequin and accessory set-up and displays.
6. What is your most memorable moment since opening the store?
The most memorable experience to date would be in 2018, when Connie Anne won the Fairfield Local Business Award for the ‘Most Outstanding Fashion Shop’. This was a huge accomplishment and wonderful compliment for the shop, considering the business had only been operating for two years at the time.
7. What’s three words that describe your store?
Exclusive, distinctive and alternative.
