Christmas list making made easy

Category: home and DIY

Don't forget a thing this Christmas with our last minute shopping list

Have you realised a moment too late that you have forgotten something for Christmas? Custard, cranberry sauce, bonbons? Well, you’re not alone, we’ve all been there (no, seriously, we did a survey and it proved that we have all been there!). And while we do love the excitement of Christmas shopping, there’s no denying it can be a bit stressful. The fear of forgetting a key ingredient can certainly add unnecessary pressure. If only there was some kind of tool to ensure no detail is left to chance…

Luckily, there is and it’s all thanks to your trusty family here at Stockland. When it comes to Christmas shopping, we can – with no hesitation – name exactly what is needed to make the big day the best one yet (after all, shopping is what we do best). So, we decided to create an easy-to-use Christmas checklist to eliminate that pesky last-minute store dash. Simply click here to select the items you would like to add to your Christmas shopping list on your phone and take this with you when you go shopping to ensure you don’t forget a thing!

You can use the shopping list on your phone (it will save to the same device, so use the phone you will take shopping!) or share to your Notes, an App or a friend. Once you have completed your shopping list there are a few more things to do in preparation for the day. Below we’ve compiled a simple to-do list for you to follow.

Prep the kitchen

Clean out the fridge and defrost the freezer to make room for all the delicious Christmas foods you’ll be storing. It’s also important to ensure you have enough oven trays, roasting tins, pots, pans, cutlery, and crockery for your Christmas Day guest list.

Bake away

If you have traditional Christmas treats on the menu like mince pies and Christmas cake, schedule some baking time into your roster.

Santa’s letters

Encourage the kids to write their letters to Santa. It’s a heartwarming tradition that adds a touch of magic to the holiday season.

Gifting galore

Don’t forget to stock up on Christmas cards and wrapping paper to add a personal touch to your presents.

Check-in with the post office

Be sure to check delivery cut-off dates to ensure any overseas gifts or cards will arrive in time.

Santa’s treats

Leave out some milk and cookies for Santa, and don’t forget the carrots for his reindeer!

Final grocery run

Before the big day arrives, do your final grocery shop. Use our downloadable list here to make this task a breeze.

As much as we love Christmas shopping, we know it can be a little stressful – but that’s why we’re here to help! Stockland wants to take the pressure out of your celebrations so you can focus on, well, celebrating.

From the Stockland family to yours, Merry Christmas! May your celebrations be filled with joy, laughter, and a well-checked list.
