Spicy Pecan Nuts

Category: food

These mouth-watering homemade sweets can be made in twenty minutes and will be gone just as fast! Sweet, spicy, and salty, they’re madly moreish, plus, there are only six ingredients needed to whip together. Fill in mini jars to give as a sweet homemade gift or simply just to say “thank you”.

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (160° fan) | 350F | gas 4 and line a large roasting tin with greaseproof paper.

2. Heat the honey with the cinnamon and cayenne in a medium saucepan until very runny. Add the pecans and stir well to coat, then tip the mixture into the prepared roasting tin and shake into an even layer.

3. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes, stirring halfway through, being careful not to colour the nuts too much.

4. Mix the sugar and salt together, then sprinkle the mixture over the nuts and toss well. Leave to cool completely before packaging in small jars.
