Car park update

Stockland Burleigh Heads has commenced works in the car park to ensure customers can enter, navigate within and exit the car park conveniently and safely.

We are excited to announce the successful completion of the accessible parking upgrades at Stockland Burleigh Heads, designed to improve the overall experience for our valued customers.

What's changed?

As part of the upgrades, we have reconfigured the accessible parking bays in alignment with the latest legislation and standards. While the guidelines necessitate a reduction in bay size, we have ensured compliance by incorporating a dedicated shared hatched area adjacent to each accessible parking space, allowing optimal accessibility and full compliance with current legislation requirements.

Importantly, these improvements have been implemented without a reduction in the number of accessible parking bays. The final touches, including line marking within the car park, are nearing completion, and all parking spaces are now available for use.

The project, which is focussed on the car park and main entry forecourt area, includes:

New line marking
- Parking bays and specialty parking bays
- Directional arrows, give way and stop lines
- Walkways and pedestrian crossings
- Yellow hatched area markings for customer safety
-Dunlin Drive entry works

Civil and roadworks
- Minor kerb, garden end beds and pram ramp adjustments
- Speed hump repairs

New wheel stops in designated areas

New statutory signage and customer wayfinding

Main entry forecourt upgrade
- Landscaping with on-grade and raised garden beds
- Outdoor furniture
- Floor painting
- Designated area for future events and activations
