Meet the team at Xpress Images, celebrating more than 16 years at Stockland Point Cook!
Owner and local resident Anthony Borg, has grown his business and now employs nine staff, including three that work at his factory. With a degree in Civil Engineering, Anthony fell into photo retail at the age of 18 and developed a passion for photographic printing and imaging.
“Having had many different roles in the industry from lab operator, to state sales manager, owner of multiple stores etc., we have managed to endure the many different changes in our industry over the 37 years,” he says. “Changes from camera and printing technology to consumer habits in printing photos and sharing photos.”
Six years ago, Xpress Images began custom framing and now have a factory to do the manufacturing for the Point Cook store. Anthony says Xpress Images is unique because they understand the changing demands of the photographic consumer market.
“We do everything from mums and baby photos, to printed and framed landscape shots, corporate work to passport photos, we cover a broad range of photo imaging services", he says, "while pretty much every photo we print or frame is special because it somehow resonates with the person who shot it, so it's an emotional connection, the work I enjoy doing the most is framing and restoring Ex Service (military) medals”.
“Learning about that person's service to their country, their journey and their sacrifice. It is very rewarding producing an art piece or display if you like, of that person's life and then sharing it with their family, in a way immortalising their memory.”
Xpress Images is located opposite Baby Presents, in the Target Quadrant.
