DIY Wood Pallet Coaster
Here’s what you’ll need:
• Mid to light-brown paint
• Sharp scissors
• Craft sticks
• PVA glue
• Paint sponge
Here’s how to do it:
1. Carefully cut the rounded edges off each craft stick. You will need 18 craft sticks for one pallet coaster.
2. Paint both sides and edges of these sticks with a mid to light-brown paint using a sponge. Spread this paint thinly for that textured, recycled-wood look.
3. To assemble, group three lots of two sticks together. These will form the vertical planks that attach the top row of sticks to the bottom four.
4. Glue these pairs of vertical struts to the base, which is set out with one stick on each of the bottom edges, and two supporting the middle.
5. Once the base structure is complete, add six evenly spaced sticks to the top to complete the pallet. The PVA glue will dry firmly enough to support the weight of a full coffee cup, so Dad doesn’t have to worry about breaking his special gift.
