NightQuarter announced Best Regional Venue

NightQuarter Sunshine Coast opened in November 2020 and after just six months of operation was announced as the winner in the Best Regional Live Music Venue at the 2021 Queensland Music Awards last night. The nominees included two other Sunshine Coast venues and re-gional venues from around Queensland. The venue went up against Sandstone Point Hotel in the award that was judged by a People s Choice Award and the judging panel of the QMA.

NightQuarter has hosted acts like Ocean Alley, Vera Blue, the Jungle Giants, James Reyne and more since opening as well as a host of Sunshine Coast local acts. The venue has five stages across the precinct. The main stage area is a touring level space purpose built with shipping containers, a dome hangar and a second balcony level. Throughout the night markets other stages host emerging acts, local bands and soloists every weekend.
The venue has booked over 300 acts and hosted 30 plus concerts since opening providing a boost to the local music scene and the economy. The venue has attracted more than 60,000 patrons to enjoy live music, food and entertainment in the past six months and contributes $15m per annum to the Sunshine Coast community.

NightQuarter operated on the Gold Coast from 2015-2019 and was the winner of the same award in 2019 for Best Regional Venue as well as winning the Best Venue at the Gold Coast Music Awards in 2016.
