A little heat never hurt anyone – especially when it’s in the kitchen! But if spicing things up has left you with more fresh chilli than you can handle, this hack from Miguel will help keep your spicy little friends crisp and fiery for when you next want to pack a culinary punch.
What you’ll need:
Method
1. First, take any leftover chillies and place into a container, then pop the container into the freezer for safekeeping.
2. When you next need some spice, remove the required amount of frozen chillies from the freezer container and prep for action by pulling out your microplane and chopping board.
3. Next, using a downwards motion on the microplane grate your chilli until you have shaved the right amount of chilli dust.
4. Now you’re free to use the beautiful finely grated chilli dust to turn up the temperature on any meal. No muss, no fuss.
