Mr Pockett was appointed to the Board on 1 September 2014 and became Non-Executive Chairman on 26 October 2016. He is the Chairman of Autosports Group Limited and a Non-Executive Director of Insurance Australia Group Limited, O’Connell Street Associates Limited and Sunnyfield, a not for profit disability services provider in New South Wales. Mr Pockett was Chief Financial Officer of Woolworths Limited from August 2002 to February 2014. He was an Executive Director of Woolworths Limited from November 2006 to 1 July 2014. He previously held the position of Deputy Chief Financial Officer at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and prior to that held several senior finance roles within the Lend Lease Group following a successful career with Deloitte. Mr Pockett was formerly Chairman of The Quantium Group Holdings Pty Limited (September 2014 to February 2016) and a Director of ALH Group Pty Ltd (September 2014 to February 2016) and Hydrox Holdings Pty Ltd (September 2014 to December 2015). Mr Pockett was a member of the Financial Reporting Council from March 2003 to March 2006, National President of G100 from August 2000 to January 2003. Mr Pockett is a member of the Stockland Human Resources and Sustainability Committees. He is the former chair of the Stockland Audit Committee and the Stockland Capital Partners Audit Committee, and a former member of the Stockland Risk Committee. Mr Pockett is a Chartered Accountant.

Ms Hewson was appointed to the Board on 1 March 2009. She has over thirty years’ experience in the financial sector, with extensive financial markets, risk management and investment management expertise. Ms Hewson is a Non-Executive Director of BHP Billiton (appointed March 2010), and previously served as a Director on the Boards of the Australian Gas Light Company, AGL Energy Limited, AMP, CSR Limited, BT Investment Management, South Australia Water, the Economic Development Board of South Australia and Westpac Banking Corporation. Ms Hewson is Chair of the Human Resources Committee and a member of the Sustainability Committee and was Chair of the Risk Committee until 1 October 2014.

Mr Neil was appointed to the Board on 23 October 2007 and has over forty years’ experience in property, both in Australia and overseas. He is Chairman of Keneco Pty Limited and Bitumen Importers Australia Pty Limited, a Director of Terrace Tower Group Pty Ltd and was previously Director of Property for Woolworths Limited. He also served as Chief Executive Officer, Investment Division (1999 to 2004), and Executive Director (1987 to 2004) of Mirvac Limited. Mr Neil is Chair of Stockland Capital Partners Limited, the Responsible Entity for Stockland’s unlisted funds and a member of the Stockland Audit and Sustainability Committees.

Mr Newton was appointed to the Board on 20 June 2016. Mr Newton is currently a Director of BAI Communications Group, Gateway Lifestyle Residential Parks Group, and the University of Notre Dame Australia. He is also an Advisory Board Member, representing Alberta Investment Management Corp (Canada), of the Forestry Investment Trust, and Chairman of the Finance Council for the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney. He is a former Director of Campus Living Funds Management Limited and Newcastle Airport Limited.
Mr Newton has deep executive experience across real estate investment, development and management and infrastructure investment and management. He is a Principal of Arcadia Funds Management Limited, a real estate investment management and capital advisory business he established in 2002. Prior to this, Mr Newton was the Chief Executive Officer - Asia/Pacific for the real estate investment management arm of Lend Lease Corporation and a member of the global senior executive management group. His career at Lend Lease spanning almost 23 years included experience across residential development, retail shopping centres, and commercial and industrial property as well as real estate investment in Australia and overseas.
Mr Newton is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Mr Newton is the Chair of the Stockland Audit Committee and a member of the Risk Committee.

Dr Scheinkestel was appointed to the Board on 19 August 2015. She is an experienced company director, having served for over 20 years as a non-executive chairman and director of companies in a wide range of industry sectors and in the public, government and private spheres. She is currently chairman of Macquarie Atlas Roads Limited as well as a director of its stapled entity, Macquarie Atlas Roads International Limited and of Telstra Corporation Limited, Ausnet Services Limited and the Victorian Arts Centre Trust. Dr Scheinkestel is also an Associate Professor at the Melbourne Business School (MBS) at Melbourne University and a member of the Takeovers Panel.
Dr Scheinkestel’s executive background is as a senior banking executive in international and project financing. She previously held positions with CRA Ltd, Macquarie Bank, Chase AMP and Deutsche Bank, where, as head of the Project Finance Unit, she was responsible for the development and financing of major projects in Australasia and South East Asia. She is a published author of Rethinking Project Finance – Allocating and Mitigating Risk in Australasian Projects.
In 2003, she was awarded a centenary medal for services to Australian society in business leadership. Dr. Scheinkestel is the Chair of the Stockland Risk Committee and a member of the Audit and Sustainability Committees.

Ms Schwartz was appointed to the Board on 1 July 2010. She has extensive experience in business, property and community organisations. Ms Schwartz is a director of the Reserve Bank of Australia and is on the board of a number of organisations including Qualitas Property Partners, and the Australian Chamber Orchestra. Her other appointments include Chair of Our Community and Creative Partnerships, Australia, and Chair of Women’s Leadership Institute Australia. Ms Schwartz is also the former Chair of Temple and Webster. Ms Schwartz serves on the Risk, Human Resources and Sustainability Committees.

In 2012 he was appointed as Global Head of Product Development and Management for Global Asset Management at UBS, a $559 billion Global Fund Manager.
Mr Steinert is a member of the Stockland Sustainability Committee and a Director of Stockland Capital Partners Limited, the Responsible Entity for Stockland’s unlisted property funds. He is the immediate past President and current Director of the Property Council of Australia, and also served as a Director of the Green Building Council of Australia until 30 June 2016.

Mark Steinert was appointed as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Stockland in January 2013. He has over twenty-six years of experience in property and financial services including almost a decade of experience running operating businesses, leading large teams of professionals to drive profitability and employee engagement. Mr Steinert commenced his career in real estate with eight years in direct property primarily with Jones Lang LaSalle, and 10 years in listed real estate with UBS. At UBS Mr Steinert was Managing Director, Global Head of Real Estate Research and Co-Head of ANZ Real Estate. Mr Steinert was deeply involved in bringing many Australian REITs to market post the 1990 Real Estate crash and was very involved with industry bodies including the Property Council of Australia and establishing world leading real estate investor conferences. Mr Steinert transitioned into leading and running operating businesses in 2004 when he was appointed Head of Australasian Equities. During his tenure the business maintained a number one equity position and achieved double digit revenue growth. In late 2005 Mr Steinert and his family relocated to New York to take up his appointment as Global Head of Research for UBS. This role ultimately covered equities and fixed income research with responsibility for 1,000 employees in 30 countries. and his team was consistently ranked top two in the world. Mr Steinert’s business achieved above average employee engagement, strong revenue growth and a top tier cost to income ratio. Mr Steinert was also promoted to Group Managing Director and was a member of the Investment Bank Executive Committee which oversaw 16,500 employees. In 2012 Mr Steinert was made Global Head of Product Development and Management for Global Asset Management at UBS, a $559 billion Global Fund Manager.
Mr Steinert is the immediate past President and current Director of the Property Council of Australia, and also served as a Director of the Green Building Council of Australia until 30 June 2016.
Stephen Bull joined Stockland in March 2007 and was promoted to General Manager Capital Transactions and Strategy (Commercial Property) in 2008, then taking on responsibility for Retail development in 2009. Mr Bull was appointed to Group Executive and CEO Retirement Living in July 2013. Prior to joining Stockland, Mr Bull was at Westfield for eight years where he held various strategy, financial planning and operational asset management roles. Before joining the property sector, Mr Bull worked in financial services. Mr Bull is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) and Bachelor of Psychology (hons).
Ms Grace has over 15 years’ legal experience specialising in the property sector. Before joining Stockland in August 2014, Ms Grace was General Counsel and Company Secretary for Westfield Retail Trust. She has extensive experience in corporate, property, debt and capital markets transactions. Prior to this role, Ms Grace was General Counsel and Company Secretary at Valad Property Group. She has previously held positions in legal private practice (where she acted for a variety of corporations and financial institutions in relation to landmark developments across Australia and overseas) and at Multiplex Limited and Pacific Capital Partners.
Tiernan O'Rourke joined Stockland in October 2013. He has more than 25 years' experience in senior financial, commercial and planning roles across a range of industry sectors and throughout the Asia Pacific Region, predominantly focused on Australia and New Zealand. He was previously Chief Executive of Transfield Services Middle East and Asia Region. Before that he was the Chief Financial Officer at Transfield Services Limited, with responsibility for financial strategy and policy, financial and management reporting, treasury and taxation. Prior to his role at Transfield, Mr O’Rourke was Chief Financial Officer of Australand Holdings Limited where he played a key role partnering with the business to transform the strategy and structure of the group. He has also held senior finance positions at AGL, Westfield, CSR and Brambles. At Westfield Holdings Limited he held the position of Group Controller - Trusts, responsible for public reporting of Westfield's trust vehicles including Westfield Americas Trust and Westfield Trust. Mr O’Rourke holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from University College Dublin and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Technology in Sydney. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
Daren Rehn was appointed as Group Executive & Chief Investment Officer in August 2014. Mr Rehn has over 30 years’ experience in the property sector. He commenced at JLL undertaking real estate research and valuations, before moving to SGIC working in property funds management and equity investments. Prior to Stockland, Mr Rehn spent 16 years in investment banking, leading the Australian Real Estate Groups at UBS and Merrill Lynch. Mr Rehn has extensive experience advising boards and senior management on business development, acquisitions and divestments, and major transactions.
Michael Rosmarin joined Stockland in July 2010 as Executive General Manager, Human Resources. In 2012, he took on the position of Group Executive, Strategy & Human Resources and was promoted to his current role of Chief Operating Officer in July 2013. He has over 22 years of experience in human resources in Australia and Asia and has held executive human resources positions for leading major companies, including Westpac Banking Corporation and Goldman Sachs. Prior to joining Stockland, Mr Rosmarin was a Principal at the global executive search firm Egon Zehnder International where he consulted to Australian and international organisations. Mr Rosmarin holds both a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Masters of Commerce.
John Schroder joined Stockland as Group Executive and CEO Commercial Property in October 2006. Mr Schroder is responsible for Stockland’s extensive Commercial Property portfolio of more than 70 shopping centres, logistics and business parks, and office assets with a combined value of over AUD$9 billion. He also oversees a development and redevelopment pipeline with $1.5 billion worth of active projects. Prior to joining Stockland, Mr Schroder was Chief Operating Officer of Westfield in the United States from 2000 to 2006. Mr Schroder was part of the team that expanded Westfield’s US operations to 66 retail centres and six major airport terminals across 12 states, and oversaw the management of 1,500 employees and a considerable development pipeline. Mr Schroder joined Westfield in 1994 and held numerous senior management roles including Australian Director of Shopping Centre Management. Mr Schroder has 29 years of experience in the shopping centre and commercial property industry, which began at Lend Lease in asset investment and retail development. He has worked in, or been responsible for, all the disciplines across the major property asset classes. Mr Schroder has held Senior Executive positions both in Australia and internationally, and is on the Board of Directors of the Shopping Centre Council of Australia.
Simon Shakesheff joined Stockland in July 2013 as Group Executive, Strategy, Stakeholder Relations, and Research. This role has responsibility for Stockland’s research, strategic outlook, communications and external stakeholder relations functions. Mr Shakesheff has over 25 years of experience analysing and advising Australian property groups. Prior to joining Stockland, Mr Shakesheff was Managing Director, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Real Estate Investment Banking Group. In this role he provided strategic advice on corporate strategy and business optimisation, equity funding and debt capital markets financing, mergers and acquisitions, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications. Mr Shakesheff also spent 19 years as an Equities analyst and Head of Real Estate analysis at JPMorgan Australia and Macquarie Bank.
Andrew was appointed as Group Executive and CEO of Stockland’s residential business in June 2013. Stockland is Australia’s largest residential developer with a development pipeline of some 84,000 future lots with an end value of almost $21 billion. He has an extensive background in residential property development and investment both in Australia and overseas. Mr Whitson joined Stockland in early 2008 as Regional Manager for Greater Brisbane and Far North Queensland. He was appointed General Manager Residential, Victoria in July 2009 and in November 2012, his role expanded to include New South Wales. Mr Whitson began his career in the construction industry before joining Springfield Land Corporation in Queensland. He was promoted to the role of General Manager Residential in 2005 where he led the company’s residential development business. Mr Whitson gained experience overseas where he worked as a consulting engineer in Hong Kong and Botswana from 1992 to 1998. From 2010, Mr Whitson served as Vice President of the Property Council in Victoria for two years. He is now Vice President of the Residential Development Council of Australia. Mr Whitson holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of Adelaide.
