This year, Stockland’s growing Halcyon communities celebrated many milestones, with a key focus on delivering quality, liveable communities where fun, friendship and connection are fostered.

Four new communities launched in Victoria, various leisure facilities were delivered, and we received recognition from the country’s peak development industry bodies.

Executive General Manager of Stockland Halcyon Communities, Richard Rhydderch, said it was rewarding for our journey to continue flourishing.

“Stockland’s revolutionary model for seniors living has changed the way older Australians embrace life after kids and post work,” Richard said.

“We have set a benchmark that extends well beyond our architecturally designed homes and resort-quality facilities.”

“A Halcyon community really is a hallmark of connectivity, innovation and freedom, ultimately empowering our homeowners to live life on their own terms,” he said.

“In Victoria, we launched Halcyon Evergreen, Halcyon Horizon, Halcyon Jardin and Halcyon Highlands and nationally we welcomed more than 700 homeowners to our lifestyle communities.”

“Since 2006, Stockland Halcyon communities has won more than 30 local, state and national awards and this year Halcyon Greens, Halcyon Berwick and B by Halcyon were recognised.”

Halcyon Greens was awarded Best Land Lease Community Development at the Property Council of Australia’s National Retirement Living Awards; Halcyon Berwick was named the state’s Residential Park of the Year at the 2023 VicParks Awards; and B by Halcyon was awarded Excellence in Seniors Living at the Urban Development Institute of Australia’s (UDIA) Queensland awards.

“While winning awards is not our primary motivator, we are delighted by the recognition from the broader industry,” Richard said.

“I extend our gratitude to our dedicated team and the homeowners who continue to make our lifestyle communities truly outstanding, even long after the awards have been received,” Richard said.

Many of these award winning community features have been incorporated into Stockland’s development pipeline for 2024, with new communities coming to New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia.

“It’s a testament to our unique offering that we can continue our growth journey and bring Halcyon communities to more people across Australia.”

“As we move into next year, there is a lot more to look forward to,” he said.
