Moving on and moving in

First on the agenda for retired couple David and Carolyn Sargeant is to “go touring everywhere – all over Australia”.

But first, there was their house and acreage in Mooloolah Valley on the Sunshine Coast, complete with snakes and a turtle, and the associated upkeep, which was proving too much for David and Carolyn to look after.

The duo originally considered downsizing to a home at Halcyon Lakeside at Bli Bli, but when they discovered the new B by Halcyon site and in particular, the onsite caravan storage facilities, they quickly snapped up a property in the first phase of development.

The couple have purchased a homesite which has a 10m garage, allowing them to store their RV next to their home, rather than in the gated community’s secure onsite storage facilities.

B by Halcyon is the fourth over 50s lifestyle community on the Sunshine Coast for Halcyon, and it’s the first of its kind to be built in Buderim. The $200m development has been masterplanned to reflect the essence of Buderim and is designed to have minimal impact on the environment.

At B by Halcyon, the couple are eagerly anticipating creating a new haven together within the community tapping into the lifestyle, activities and exercise. And for David, not having to mow the grass!

“We’re looking forward to feeling at home at B by Halcyon,” Carolyn said.

“That’s what’s most important to us as well as having the freedom to lock up and go and on our long-awaited motorhome trip around Australia.”
