At Halcyon we see our role as planning, designing, building and delivering a lifestyle community that allows you to fully embrace the next chapter of your life. Each Halcyon community is a place to call home where you can rejuvenate, feel safe and most importantly, be amongst friends.

Such a community evolves from thorough research, thoughtful planning, years of experience and a commitment to quality. This process starts with site selection. For us it’s the most important step in creating a new community because it ultimately influences how the project’s masterplan and character will unfold.

Several factors guide us when looking at an area: the facilities and services on offer and planned, forecasted growth, and the lifestyle opportunity. When you live at Halcyon, you’re never far from everything you need, whether it’s family, friends, shopping, public transport or medical facilities.

Our communities are always in easily accessible, service-rich and beautiful coastal
settings that are handy to the Pacific Motorway (M1) and close to major centres. We ensure our homeowners live near existing or planned facilities and services like shopping centres, hospitals, major arterial roads, parks, recreational options, waterways and beaches.

And we look at what’s proposed around a prospective site. Always with an eye on the future, we are very interested in what the location will look and feel like down the track. We like to be ahead of the curve by moving into promising areas that are set to blossom in the medium to long-term.

Halcyon’s Pimpama (Halcyon Greens) and Bli Bli (Halcyon Landing, Halcyon Lakeside) communities are examples of our preference for up-and-coming locations. In 2011, Bli Bli was a rural country township when we started work on our Halcyon Landing community.

Eight years later, it’s a thriving and vibrant residential hub with a sophisticated new village centre, golf course and just 10 minutes away from Maroochydore’s new CBD. In recognition of its tremendous growth and appeal to home buyers, Bli Bli was also named Money Magazine’s top property hot spot in 2017.

That brings me to the next factor that we consider: forecasted growth and demand.

Halcyon thoroughly researches the current property market, population growth and emerging growth corridors to be certain that it’s the perfect spot for a lifestyle community. We want to be sure there’s genuine demand for what Halcyon has to offer, now and into the future.

That’s also important for our homeowners, who can rest assured their financial investment in this new lifestyle is secure. Another guiding factor for our locations is the beauty, history and natural attributes of a site so that we can deliver a unique and desirable lifestyle opportunity.

As a result there’s always something overwhelmingly special about each location, whether it be proximity to nature, a picturesque outlook or absolute water frontage. A great example of this is Halcyon Greens, which is taking place on a majestic island site surrounded by natural wetlands and offering direct access to the Gainsborough Greens Golf Course.

With all our selection criteria ticked off, the site is purchased and the masterplanning process can begin. This is about creating a community that blends effortlessly with its surrounds while being livable, comfortable, beautiful and friendly.

Thoughtful masterplanning is what you see when you walk through a Halcyon community; the articulated streetscapes, generous setbacks, wide streets, open spaces, and complementary landscaping themes. We also provide ample visitor parking and the ability to park two cars in each driveway, resulting in a more visually ‘clean’ and functional community.
