Click goes Sandy’s camera as the keen amateur photographer snaps her latest wildlife picture at Stockland’s Halcyon Greens.

Homeowner Sandy George will tell you the area surrounding Stockland’s Halcyon Greens is regarded as one of the most ecologically diverse areas on the Gold Coast and is home to koalas, kangaroos, gliders, eagles, owls and dozens of bird species.

Halcyon Greens is a lush oasis that is home to Australia’s biggest lifestyle and is ideally located beside the stunning Gainsborough Greens Golf Course and overlooks wetlands and an ecological habitat spanning more than 58 hectares created by one of Australia’s leading environmental experts, Matt Keys.

It is this idyllic setting that makes encounters with native flora and fauna a regular occurrence for Sandy.

“I find living here provides unbelievable opportunities to capture nature and the landscape in some beautiful ways.  We get beautiful sunsets here where the sky is a blaze of colour,” said Sandy.

“Recently we also had a koala, which we nicknamed Hali, wander into the community.  We arranged for Wildcare to come and perform a koala check-up before setting Hali back into the nature reserve.  We managed to get a few fun photographs of the experience, which was great,” added Sandy.
