Halcyon Promenade has officially launched to the market

Stockland Halcyon is bringing its award-winning formula to the northside of Brisbane with the official launch of its newest luxury community designed for over 50s, Halcyon Promenade.

Located in the picturesque Moreton Bay hamlet of Burpengary East, Halcyon Promenade will feature the same signature quality and scale of multi award-winning Halcyon Greens on the Gold Coast.

Stockland Halcyon’s Project Director for Halcyon Promenade, Andrew Astorquia said the community would redefine over 50s living in Moreton Bay, an area which does not have a wide array of housing choice for downsizers.

“The level of luxury, quality and inclusions available at Halcyon Promenade has not been seen before in a community designed for over 50s so close to the northside of Brisbane,” he said.

“We have already had strong interest from local buyers with more than 50 homes already sold,” he said.

“It’s been very popular with locals who don’t want to leave the area and are excited about their next chapter at Halcyon Promenade.”

Mr Astorquia said Moreton Bay Regional Council’s recent Development Application (DA) approval for the western side of the community is the first major development in the Burpengary East Emerging Community Zone.

“The approval ultimately confirms the vision and masterplan for Halcyon Promenade to become one of Brisbane’s largest communities designed for over 50s, with a long list of recreational and leisure resort-style facilities and quality homes with street appeal,” he said.

The community will feature up to 380 homes which will be complemented by a unique dual fronted recreation and leisure precinct which is located on either side of Caulfield Drive, an existing road in the suburb.

Mr Astorquia said the community has been designed to reflect Stockland Halcyon’s commitment to sustainability and lowering the carbon footprint.

“Homes are designed with high quality materials including Hebel and steel and have energy reducing features such as triple insulation and solar power as standard,” he said. “Our leisure facilities will be partially powered by solar, and our homeowners will also have access to a Tesla 3 electric vehicle as their shared community car.”

The approved DA also included a number of environmental initiatives including:

• Three hectares of environmental corridor and retention of a koala habitat which will be incorporated into the development. 
• Fencing and public signage will be constructed which allows koala movement and protects the habitat.
• The corridor will be retained as natural vegetation and enhanced by Stockland Halcyon.
•  A network of stormwater bio-basin treatment systems incorporated into the environmental corridor.
• We are conscious of creating communities which are sustainable and echo the concerns of many people in Australia,” he said.

Halcyon Promenade will ultimately feature health club facilities including a 25-metre covered and heated magnesium salt pool with spa, gymnasium and circuit room, yoga lawn and art studio, massage rooms, beauty salon, recreation club and lounge with a private dining area and outdoor kitchen overlooking the outdoor resort pool, pickleball courts, 3D golf simulator as well as a full-size flood lit bowling green.

The community is located less than 15 minutes from Westfield North Lakes.

Stockland Halcyon has commenced construction with the first homes expected to be delivered in 2023.
