Bokarina Beach community progresses on schedule

Stockland‘s popular Bokarina Beach community at Oceanside on the Sunshine Coast is a hive of activity with key development and infrastructure works progressing on schedule.

David Laner, Acting General Manager, Queensland Residential at Stockland, said, “There is no slowing down at Bokarina Beach with a number of key areas under construction and over 100 workers physically on site right now.”

“The new lake at Bokarina Beach has now been fully excavated with over 40,000 cubic metres of soil removed to a depth of three metres. The walls around the new lake feature are now under construction and will be completed in July.

“The new eastern bridge on Nicklin Way is now complete and all four lanes of traffic have been diverted to this bridge to allow construction on the western bridge to begin. The piling for the second bridge on the west side of Nicklin Way is now underway and will continue until the end of July, followed by the bridge construction.”

“The construction of these two bridges will facilitate the lake connection under Nicklin Way as well as a pedestrian underpass which will connect Bokarina Beach to the future Birtinya Town Centre.”

“The works to deliver the Nicklin Way upgrade and pedestrian underpass between Wurley Drive and Beach Drive are also continuing as planned and we look forward to commencing landscaping at Bokarina Boulevard soon including the planting of a number of large feature Norfolk Pines.”

Stockland also recently celebrated over 100 lot sales at Bokarina Beach and launched one of its last residential land release. Lots in this latest Switchfoot land release range in size from 250 square metres to 448 square metres with prices starting from as low as $349,000

David Laner continues, “Bokarina Beach continues to attract strong demand from homebuyers keen to live close to the beach.”

“Our plans for this vibrant new community have really struck a chord with buyers who are appreciating its fantastic location and the wide range of amenities that will be created, including parkland, boutique shops and cafes.

Bokarina Beach will eventually comprise approximately 160 home sites, 130 terrace homes and 800 beachside and north facing park-front apartments spanning almost 30 hectares.

Bokarina Beach is a key component of the world-class health, retail, commercial, education and residential hub, which includes Birtinya.

As well as a new town centre, with a new Stockland Shopping Centre and dining precinct, Birtinya will also be home to Stockland’s first ‘greenfield’ vertical retirement village, the Birtinya Retirement Village, which is currently under construction.
