31 July 2018

Stockland Townsville is thrilled to officially welcome locally owned business Café Society to its Nathan Street (Kmart) Centre.

The new cafe officially opened its doors today [Tuesday 31st July] and owners Lynne Burgess and John McConkey couldn’t be happier.

“We have been looking to open a second cafe for some time now and are so pleased we were able to set up shop at Stockland’s Nathan Street Centre,” said Lynne Burgess.

“We are amazed by how quickly word has spread around town with a steady stream of customers and  some great feedback from the local community,” adds John McConkey.

Open seven days a week in the Kmart and Coles section of the shopping centre, Café Society offers an extensive range of breakfast and lunch choices as well as decadent treats for customers to enjoy.

Malcolm Miller, Stockland Townsville Centre Manager, said “We’re very excited to be welcoming Café Society to the centre and look forward working with Lynne and John in future.

“Stockland is a big supporter of small businesses and as a local and well established coffee house, Café Society has a fantastic reputation for its extensive food offering, reasonable prices and exceptional customer service.”
