Families invited to come together in harmony for opening of Pallara’s Feng Shui park

It will be a day for happiness and harmony when Stockland celebrates the official launch of its first Feng Shui-designed park in Australia with a free party at its Pallara community on Saturday, 25 August.

The innovative park has been designed to take good energy to the next level, offering families a chance to play in a unique space that features a reflexology path, a sanctuary area, cricket practice net, ping pong table and a children’s playground.

David Laner, Acting Queensland General Manager for Residential at Stockland, said the exciting new park was a first for Stockland’s residential communities throughout Australia.

“Stockland is well known for providing exciting and innovative parks and play spaces that enhance our residential communities and Pallara’s new Feng Shui park will offer a truly unique experience to locals,” Mr Laner said.

The park has been designed with Feng Shui energy flows and elemental guidelines to beautifully harmonise nature with play elements and engage the senses, offering a peaceful place for the entire family to enjoy.

Stockland teamed up accredited Feng Shui consultant Derelle Ball, of Centaine Consultants, and Urban Play to create the one-of-a-kind inclusive park.

Ben Urban, Managing Director of Urban Play, said the playground used architecturally-inspired pieces to create a unique space for all ages.

“The different play elements used not only inspire their imaginations but also provide skills and tools to navigate childhood and beyond through active and social play,” Mr Urban said.

The park features soothing earth tones, a naturally flowing layout and a combination of quiet and active spaces to provide a haven to play or relax.

A reflexology walk has been designed to encourage people to take their shoes off and walk over rounded pebbles on a gently meandering path to gently massage meridian points within the feet.

Other highlights include a designated sanctuary area, meandering walkways, a drinking fountain and picnic tables, as well as seating areas, a shelter and a barbecue.

The park also features a custom birds nest swing, large arc ladder, ping pong table and viper green tele tubes which allow children to discover the principles of music and sound through play, and transform the playground into interactive art.

The official launch opening on Saturday, 25 August will offer an exciting, event-packed afternoon for families running from 2pm-4pm at the park on Pallara Avenue.

Children will be able to test the park’s new cricket nets with a range of Queensland Cricket activities, try a kids‘ yoga session, and ride an inflatable slide. Families can also enjoy live music and free afternoon snacks.

“This is the perfect opportunity for families to enjoy free fun, meet their neighbours and make new friends while experiencing the unique features of our exciting new park,’’ Mr Laner said.

Pallara is a brand new masterplanned community in Brisbane’s south-western growth corridor. Surrounded by lush natural bushland just 19 kilometres from Brisbane’s CBD, it will feature around 720 new dwellings and be home to 2,000 residents on completion.
