When the first residents of Stockland’s Edgebrook community in Clyde move into their brand new home in time for Christmas, they’ll have good reason to feel like they’re surrounded by family.
Sukhjeet Singh and his wife Sukhjinder are building the very first home in the new $208 million community and to add to their excitement, Mr Singh’s brother Gagandeep and his wife Jass are getting ready to build their own home next door.
“We’re very excited to be the first family to build a new home at Edgebrook and are really looking forward to moving in,” Mr Singh said.
“We’ve decided to buy at Edgebrook because we like the area and will have a lot of friends and family nearby.
“We think that Edgebrook is going to develop into a great community and it has so much to offer, being close to good schools, shops and great transport links.”
The first home buyers are building a four-bedroom single level home with Carlisle Homes and are expecting to move into their new abode with their eight-year-old son Harnivaaz in November.
Edgebrook was launched in March 2017 and the masterplanned community will ultimately comprise almost 800 homes spread across the 65-hectare site as well as a future central park built around Clyde Creek.
Kerry Balci, Project Director at Stockland, said Edgebrook had struck a chord with homebuyers who appreciate the community’s great value proposition, prime location and strong focus on sustainability and liveability.
“It’s exciting to see Edgebrook taking shape and we’re delighted that building has started on the very first homes, which is a significant milestone for our brand new community,” Ms Balci said.
“Edgebrook continues to be highly sought-after by homebuyers of all budgets and lifestyles and we’ve been fast-tracking land releases since sales were launched early last year.
“Over the next few months construction activity will ramp up as more homes start to be built and work begins on our new display village.”
Located in the heart of Melbourne’s thriving south-east, Edgebrook is close to schools, retail facilities, transport and employment and less than two kilometres from Stockland’s award-winning masterplanned Selandra Rise project, which is now sold out.
The community has been designed to blend seamlessly with the beautiful natural environment around Clyde Creek and residents will have easy access to playgrounds, barbecue facilities, walking paths and open spaces.
Stockland is committed to creating a connected community at Edgebrook with plans to host a range of community events for residents, such as free movie nights, family fun days and free programs offering learning workshops and initiatives for children and adults.
A wide range of home sites are currently available at Edgebrook to suit buyers at all stages of life, with lots ranging in size from 210 square metres to 714 square metres and prices ranging from $207,000 to $507,000.
