Stockland North Shore recently hosted its annual Monster Machine Day at its masterplanned community in Burdell, Townsville.

Several hundred people attended the family friendly event and had the chance to get up close to big diggers, scrapers, graders, excavators, bulldozers, dump trucks and other machinery needed to build a new community. The kids enjoyed wearing hard hats throughout the action-packed day.

Stockland Senior Development Manager, Rachel Dunstan, said it was great to welcome the Townsville community and residents back to what has become an annual tradition at North Shore.

“Seeing these amazing machines up close is thrilling, especially for children. Big machinery and the teams who operate them have laid the foundation of Stockland communities for 70 years. We’re delighted to turn this display of building and construction power into a fun-filled day for North Shore residents and Townsville locals,” said Ms Dunstan.

“It’s exciting for future North Shore residents to see the machinery and equipment that’s helping to construct the place they soon call home.”

Stockland North Shore is one of Townville’s popular communities with schools, shopping, dining, parks, bushland trails and transport networks all located within this well-established neighbourhood.

Located around 13 kilometres from the Townsville CBD and just over 10 kilometres from the Townsville RAAF Base, North Shore is a highly connected community and close to the northern beaches.
