New Green Leaves Early Learning centre set to open at Stockland Rockhampton

23 February 2021

A new Green Leaves Early Learning centre is set to open at Stockland Rockhampton, located at the former Colonial Mart site.

Elysia Billingham, Centre Manager at Stockland Rockhampton, said: “We’re pleased to welcome such an excellent and reputable service to Stockland Rockhampton.

“Green Leaves Early Learning further diversifies our retail offering and allows the community to enjoy a state-of-the-art childcare facility and shopping centre all in one convenient location.

“It also shows our commitment to reflecting and responding to what our customers want and need, and creating a town centre that’s curated to the community.”

Green Leaves Early Learning will provide an all-inclusive service for up to 100 children aged six weeks to six years and will be easily accessible from the undercroft car park at Stockland Rockhampton. It will also create 18 full-time staff positions.

The new childcare centre will provide all meals prepared by an in-centre chef, incursions, excursions, nappies and linens. It will also feature a welcoming parent hub with a barista for parents to pick up complimentary coffee and baked treats each day, and socialise with other parents or educators.

The former Colonial Mart site at the corner of High Street and Victoria Place is due to be demolished in May 2021, with construction of the new childcare centre to follow. It is expected to open early 2022.
