New precinct in Stockland Forest Reach provides more housing for Illawarra region
Stockland has launched a new residential precinct in its Forest Reach masterplanned community, located in Huntley, 18 kilometres from Wollongong’s CBD, comprising 162 lots across the elevated northern precinct.
The new precinct, called Crest View, caters to first homebuyers, families, and those looking to upgrade. Homes will have views of the Illawarra escarpment and surrounding district and access to the adjacent proposed Crest View local park.
Stockland Project Director, Mike Milligan, said there has already been strong interest in Crest View, with buyers attracted to the precinct’s location close to Wollongong’s CBD and with nature at its doorstep.
“With more than 70 years of expertise in creating vibrant and connected communities, Stockland is proud of its role in helping more people achieve the dream of home ownership. There is a need for more housing in the growing Illawarra region, and this new precinct at Forest Reach will help cater to that demand,” Mr Milligan said.
“Following the success of the now sold-out Central Precinct, we’ve seen strong interest from first home buyers, young families looking to build their forever home, upgraders, and downsizers. Due to the elevated location in the community, there will be a mix of flat and ready to build split-level lots in Crest View ranging from 300 square metres up to 957 square metres.
“We’re working closely with our builder partners to design a range of house and land packages to suit different styles of family-living across all types of lots, or alternatively, customers can choose to design and build their dream home from scratch,” Mr Milligan added.
The first release of lots at Crest View are now available with prices for land starting at $446,0001.
There are plans underway in the Forest Reach community for a proposed 25,000 square metres park which will include a junior-sized football field and full-sized basketball court. There will also be a playground with outdoor fitness equipment, shaded seating, open lawns, and walking paths.
Upon completion, Forest Reach will also include townhomes as well as a Stockland Halcyon land lease community designed for over 60s looking to enjoy an active lifestyle within a connected community.
