Rocky Sunday Markets move to Stockland Rockampton

Stockland Rockhampton will welcome the weekly Rocky Sunday Markets to its centre, beginning Sunday, 13 February.

Home to over 100 local producers of handcrafted goods, fruit and vegetables, the markets have the largest range of fresh produce in the region and are a weekend staple for the local Rockhampton community.

Elysia Billingham, Centre Manager at Stockland Rockhampton, said that she was delighted to welcome local businesses and the community to the centre.

“The Rocky Sunday Markets have been running locally for over 30 years, and we’re excited to be able to continue this tradition at Stockland Rockhampton.

“We’re committed to our purpose of creating a better way to live, and creating stronger connections between our community and local businesses. The market’s new weather-protected location in the undercover parking area at Birch Carroll and Coyle Cinemas will provide local growers with more certainty, while also providing shoppers with a more comfortable experience,” she said.

The new site will provide ample parking for customers, easy access to pick up heavy items, and a kids’ activity corner, for a convenient and fun weekend family outing.

Ms. Billingham continued: “Madonna McMullen, coordinator of the Rocky Sunday Markets, has done an incredible job to make the markets what they are today. We can’t wait to welcome her, the community, and all of our local producers to Stockland Rockhampton this weekend for what promises to be a great day.”

The Rocky Sunday Markets is open from 6 am until 12 pm.
