Stockland Bokarina Beach welcomes first residents as construction gains momentum

16 July 2019

Stockland’s highly sought-after Bokarina Beach community on the Sunshine Coast has welcomed its first residents, as the exciting new neighbourhood takes shape.

Mark McMahon, Senior Development Manager at Stockland, said he was delighted with the progress of the $192 million community, which has already celebrated a suite of milestones this year.

“Bokarina Beach is a hive of construction activity and the arrival of its first residents is another significant step in the life of the community, which has resonated with buyers keen to take advantage of the stunning location and enviable lifestyle on offer.

“Our first streets are being rapidly transformed as residents build their dream homes and it is exciting to see Stockland’s vision for a world-class community complete with beach access and planned cafes, restaurants and shops come to life.’’

Stockland has also recently commenced construction on the community’s first terrace homes, a collection of 35 premium, three and four-bedroom designs representing the next phase of residential living at Bokarina Beach.

Overlooking Bokarina’s Beach’s stunning new lake and parkland, The Terraces at Bokarina Beach will be located close to the future village centre, five hectares of new parklands as well as walkways linking directly through to the beach.

“The year is shaping up to be an extremely busy one for Bokarina Beach,’’ Mr McMahon said. “In the past three months alone we have opened the Lake Kawana extension into Bokarina Beach as well as Lake Square, an expansive recreational space straddling the lake, creating a landmark entry into the community.

“We have also opened a new underpass beneath Nicklin Way to provide safe passage to our community for cyclists and pedestrians, including school students, as part of a $19 million project by Stockland to upgrade the Nicklin Way and Lake Kawana Boulevard intersection.

“We are also now nearing completion on the construction of a new public beach access for the use of all Sunshine Coast residents and visitors, incorporating a fully accessible pathway through the dunes, a timber viewing platform as well as seating, bike racks and a beach shower.’’

Mr McMahon said Stockland was creating an abundance of opportunities for residents to enjoy active and healthy lifestyles at Bokarina Beach.

“Creating the public spaces and opportunities to enhance the wellbeing of residents and visitors is part of our commitment to building vibrant, well-connected communities,’’ he said.

Set on 30 hectares, Bokarina Beach is a premium mixed-use residential, retail and community hub planned to include approximately 160 home sites, 130 terrace homes and 800 beachside and north facing park-front apartments.
