Stockland prepares to unveil major residential stage at Aura on the Sunshine Coast

05 February 2018

Stockland is preparing to unveil the next exciting residential stage of its $5 billion Aura community on the Sunshine Coast.

The new neighbourhood, the first to be released in the Aura Central Precinct, sits just south of Aura’s first suburb of Baringa.

Adrian Allen, Aura Project Director for Stockland, said: “Following the sales success of Baringa we are excited to be opening up expressions of interest for this next exciting land release at Aura.”

“This exciting new stage is the first release within Aura Central, the future heart of Aura, which will one day feature the City Centre and entertainment precinct, the extensive People’s Place parkland and a range of education and sporting facilities”, Mr Allen said.

The first residential lots are expected to be released in February to homebuyers who have registered their interest in the thriving new community.

“We are expecting strong interest in these residential lots located within the future Aura Central precinct and encourage those wishing to secure land to register their interest now to avoid disappointment, given the enviable lifestyle residents who live in Aura Central will have,” Mr Allen said.

Mr Allen said Aura Central will include an array of high quality amenities including a future urban university, two proposed public schools and two proposed private schools.

“Aura Central represents a major milestone for our vibrant new city and will be the 24/7 beating heart of Aura, offering a level of facilities and amenities never before seen on the Sunshine Coast,” Mr Allen said.

“The future Aura City Centre will include a wide range of shopping and dining experiences, entertainment options, business spaces and tourist accommodation and will be the epicentre of the Aura community, where residents and visitors come together to enjoy the enviable lifestyle on offer.

“Adjacent to the City Centre will be the People’s Place, an 11 hectare South Bank style parkland which will become a drawcard for residents and visitors from the wider Sunshine Coast region and beyond.

“Aura Central will also feature a future transit centre which includes a proposed train station, numerous community centres, parks and conservation areas and our extensive network of dedicated cycling and walking paths, including the continuation of the Aura Veloway,” he said.

The first land release at Aura Central will only be available to customers who pre-register their interest. To register, visit the website at www.cityofcolour.com.
