Stockland Riverton to offer exclusive retro Arcade Alley experience these school holidays

14 January 2020

Classic arcade games will meet the sophisticated gameplay of today at Stockland Riverton these school holidays, providing customers of all ages with an exclusive opportunity to experience two highly interactive gaming zones at the centre.

From Monday 20 January to Sunday 2 February, customers will have a chance to explore Arcade Alley which will include a series of gaming and coding workshops and immersive experiences.

Phil Martin, Centre Manager at Stockland Riverton, said that Arcade Alley will be a special mix of nostalgia and novelty that will transform the centre into a fun destination that pays homage to past and future technology.

“We are so pleased to offer our customers a uniquely retro retail experience through a series of arcade games, coding workshops and masterclasses, virtual reality, chances to win great prizes and so much more.

“We wanted to do something special at the centre these school holidays that would engage the local community and provide them with an experience that is memorable and resonates with them.

“We hope that Arcade Alley can serve as an arena for conversation; a place where the young and young at heart can connect with one another over a shared appreciation for gaming.”

Zone 1 will be located near Big W and will offer coding workshops and masterclasses, a gaming lounge featuring Nintendo and a virtual reality gaming experience. The workshops and masterclasses are free but advanced booking is required and spaces are limited.*

Zone 2 will be located near The Reject Shop and will have a number of retro arcade favourites on offer.

Customers can also play a newly designed phone game via QR code for a chance to win a $100 Stockland gift card daily.

Arcade Alley will run from Monday 20 January to Sunday 2 February.
