Stockland The Pines rings in Year of the Rat with lineup of family fun activities

Stockland The Pines is pleased to offer a number of fun and festive activities in celebration of this year’s Lunar New Year.

Ingrid Vanin, Centre Manager at Stockland The Pines, said the events and workshops at the centre were a chance for locals to experience the diversity of the community.

“We’re proud to be part of such a multicultural community and want to create opportunities for our customers that reflect such diversity.

“We have a lineup of in-centre activities for all ages and for the entire community to enjoy. This is just one of the ways that we can show our customers that we listen, care, and want to curate experiences that add value to their lives.”

The celebrations will kick off on Saturday 1 February at 11am with a traditional lion dance which will travel throughout the centre.

Located outside Specsavers, customers will have a chance to partake in an authentic dumpling-making workshop on Saturday 1 February at 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm for just $10. Spaces are limited and advanced booking is required.*

For the children, Stockland The Pines will offer free karate workshops on Saturday 1 February and Sunday 2 February from 11am to 2pm, run by local club GKR Karate.

Kids can also learn about the traditional handwriting style of calligraphy, led by local child care provider Kimmba Play School. Located near the food court, our littlest customers can come get creative on Saturday 8 February and Sunday 9 February from 11am to 2pm.

Celestial Tai Chi College will encourage customers to ‘find their inner peace’ and learn the sacred art of moving with their breath at the Tai Chi workshop. Located outside of Specsavers, the workshop will run on Sunday 2 February from 11am to 2pm.

Stockland The Pines will also offer red envelopes with the purchase of $200 or more between Tuesday 29 January and Sunday 9 February. Qualifying customers can visit Stockland’s lucky money tree on Saturday 8 February or Sunday 9 February from 11am to 5pm to choose their envelope and reveal their surprise gift.
