Global medical technology business, Medtronic, will soon move to MPark, Stockland’s $2 billion mixed-use commercial precinct in the heart of the Macquarie Park Innovation District.

Medtronic will occupy two floors, accommodating around 350 people across nearly 4,000 square metres at 11 Khartoum Road, the first workplace building to be completed at MPark.

The new workplace will comprise training rooms for robotics equipment to assist with surgery and neurological procedures.

Stockland’s Head of Workplace Development, Frank Ianni said he is looking forward to welcoming Medtronic to MPark.

“Our vision for MPark is to be one of Australia’s largest innovation precincts for life sciences and technology in Macquarie Park, enabling businesses like Medtronic to carry out their work in a modern and sustainable building that supports employee wellbeing,” Mr Ianni said.

“The Macquarie Park Innovation District is renowned for its vibrant network of leading global and local businesses across the life sciences, health and pharmaceuticals, and technology industries. It’s important that these businesses have a workplace that supports their needs and that’s what we’ve set out to create at MPark.”

Medtronic, which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, will join Audika, Axis, CHEP, WiSE Medical and Zeekr at 11 Khartoum Road, MPark in April 2025.

Medtronic Vice President of Enterprise Accounts & Services, Japan and ANZ, and Vice President, Diabetes APAC and Greater China, Liz Carnabuci said the business was excited to be moving their Sydney office to a new space designed with their team in mind.

“The way we work has evolved, and our new space reflects our commitment toward nurturing a workplace where flexibility, connection and collaboration seamlessly intertwine. With green spaces, dynamic workspaces, and state-of-the-art facilities to educate our customers and employees on new innovations – we aim to inspire and empower everyone to do their best work,” Ms Carnabuci said.

MPark Stage 1 comprises three workplace buildings located at 11, 15, and 17 Khartoum Road.

Construction is currently underway on 17 Khartoum Road, 15 Khartoum Road, and a 2,500 square metre open park.

Construction of the Stage 1 precinct is expected to be complete by the end of 2025.
