Grab your bikes and head down to the new Pedal Park at Aura!
The launch of Aura's new Pedal Park on Sunday 18 June was a fantastic day attended by over 600 local residents and visitors. Crowds enjoyed an adrenaline pumping BMX show by pro-rider Tim Wood and the kids learnt the latest tricks from Tim’s team.
Sunshine Coast Councils' Travelsmart team were on hand to get locals tips on how to look after their bike, change tyres and how to stay safe on our roads and nearly 200 visitors jumped on the Boost Juice Pedal Bar Bike and cycled hard to make their very own delicious smoothies!
Families enjoyed shooting hoops on the new basketball and netball half-court but by far, the most popular activity for the day was riding on the brand new bike tracks in the park. The younger children hit the easy track designed especially for beginner riders and the older children hit the bumps, humps and flat tops on the second more adventurous track.
Why not jump on your bike this weekend and take a ride at any of the Stockland communities throughout Australia as they all have well connected bike paths with picnic spots to visit along the way!
