Willowdale residents learnt Jamie Olivers hints, tips and cooking shortcuts at a 7 week outreach program called Jamie's Ministry of Food!

In conjunction with Stockland Willowdale and fresh food partner Woolworths, Jamie’s Ministry of Food Australia launched a successful outreach program which aims to educate, empower and inspire people to love and enjoy good food, through learning how to cook.

Jamie’s Ministry of Food is the brainchild behind chef and campaigner, Jamie Oliver. This program was launched in September at the Willowdale Community Place and taught participants Jamie's hints, tips and shortcuts whist drawing on his food ethos, cooking techniques and approach to food education.

The outreach program included two seven week courses along with a series of themed interactive demonstrations. The demonstrations were planned based on the local demographic of the Stockland Willowdale community which is focused on families and retirement living. The demonstration topics included Easy Lunch Time SolutionsRecipes for Busy People and How to Read Food Labels.

This outreach program is planned for other Stockland residential communities, so keep an eye out if you're a local resident.
